New 2021 Honda Crosstour is coming back, this time with significant upgrades. Crosstour is a sporty-looking crossover with a wagon-like appearance. The first generations weren’t successful at all, and its production ended in 2015. However, the Japanese manufacturer is willing to turn things around and to deliver next-gen Crosstour.
The new model will hit the markets with a new design, and we hope Honda won’t make the same mistakes again. The Crosstour crossover will offer good versatility and a high level of comfort. There will be room for five occupants, and we hope to see at least two engine options. The sales will begin in the last quarter of the year, but crossover’s price is not available yet.

2021 Crosstour Redesign
Interestingly, but 2021 Honda Crosstour won’t depart from its first-generation. Some things are still available, so Crosstour will stick to its roots. Design is recognizable, and it is Honda’s latest design language. Thanks to that, we can’t call this crossover unique. Most of the styling cues are taken from the Accord sedan. Two models are sharing similar mechanics as well.

- Which is, quite simply staggering. And CO2 in the Yaris is said to be 89g/km versus the Jazz’s 102g/km. UPDATE: The 2020 Toyota Yaris Hybrid’s official fuel economy and CO2 figures are now available and those reports wildly overestimated its efficiency, with 57.6-65.6mpg and 98-112g/km, making the Honda Jazz Hybrid highly competitive.
- 2020 Honda Pilot Despite that some reports are suggesting 2020 Honda Pilot redesign, that definitely won’t happen. The current generation has been around since 2015, so it is still early for such changes, especially if we consider the recent facelift, which has brought novelties in many aspects, including both exterior and interior design.
Whatsoever, some exterior features are very similar, and even the exterior color palette is almost the same. The Crosstour will feature a wagon-like appearance with a sloping roofline and a simple side profile. Mechanically, new suspension is in the offer, and Crosstour will offer more ground clearance than its previous generation. Still, we don’t like black plastics, and bumpers could be more upright.
Accord-Based Interior Design
We don’t expect many surprises inside the cabin. The 2021 Honda Crosstour will feature the interior that is identical to Accord sedan. That includes a five-seat layout, similar interior design, and the same high-tech amenities. Whatsoever, the arriving crossover won’t be more premium than its sedan sibling. On the other hand, its wagon-like appearance will provide more interior room.
Furthermore, Crosstour will be more practical, and it will offer a generous cargo area. A higher driving position is a must, and we expect from Honda to deliver it. A 7-inch touchscreen is standard, and Crosstour offers more than a solid list of standard features.
Engine Rumors
This is an interesting category. No one knows which engine will power the new 2021 Honda Crosstour. You can find plenty of rumors on the internet, and all of them are possible to happen. For example, a 1.5-liter turbo-four engine will be standard. It will deliver 192 horses, while upper trim levels will offer 2.0-liter turbo-four with 252 hp. Moreover, standard engine choice comes with a CVT transmission.
As for the optional powertrain, rumors are predicting an eight-speed automatic gearbox. A hybrid powertrain is speculated as well. According to the newest stories, Crosstour Hybrid will produce 212 horsepower, and it will be rated at over 40 mpg combined. Other reports are also mentioning a 2.4-liter gasoline, and even a 3.5-liter V6 is reportedly in the mix.
