Tunnelblick for Mac is a program that can be used to securely connect a Mac running OS X or macOS to an OpenVPN server. The server then connects the Mac to a remote network or to the Internet, bypassing untrusted.

Dont forget that we have our own custom made OpenVPN client which you can find here. We recommend that you install azclient due to its simplicity.

Before you start with our guide, please download Tunnelblick for macOS and a configuration file.

Install TunnelBlick

  1. Begin with mouting the .dmg (doubleclick on the file). Doubleclick on 'Tunnelblick' to start the installation. You might be asked for administrator privileges during the installation.

  2. When the installation is completed, go to your downloads folder and double click on the .ovpn file that you previously downloaded.

  3. Choose whether you want to install AzireVPN for only you or all users on the computer.

  4. Start tunnelblick from your applications folder in finder, you should see a new icon at the top right side of your screen. Click on the icon and choose 'Connect AzireVPN'.

  5. Enter your credentials you use when you login to the AzireVPN site.

  6. You tunnel should now become yellow if you are successfully connected. If you want to disconnect, click on the tunnel icon and then 'disconnect AzireVPN'.

  1. Jul 12, 2016 Power off the device you wish to share the VPN connection with, and the connect it to your computer with either an Ethernet or USB cable. Click the Apple button in the top right and click on System Preferences. Then, click on the “Sharing” button.
  2. If the connection attempt was successful, the little Tunnelblick gate-icon should now look enlightened and open. Hover your mouse over the icon to get a status window displayed, as shown in this screenshot.
  3. Start tunnelblick from your applications folder in finder, you should see a new icon at the top right side of your screen. Click on the icon and choose 'Connect AzireVPN'. Enter your credentials you use when you login to the AzireVPN site. You tunnel should now become yellow if you are successfully connected.
